What internal temperature for Bone in Pork Chops

You might find an abundance of suggestions on proper internal pork temperature while searching the internet. Preferably, while cooking pork I find that the best internal temperature to stop cooking at is 145F. Followed by allowing the pork chops to rest, tented with foil. The foil is not necessary, but allowing the pork chops to rest is a must. Make sure to have a digital meat thermometer handy.

  1. I am making this tonight, but have a question. The ingredients call for lemon slices and parsley, are those just for garnish, because your directions don’t mention them at all?

    Thank you! ♡

    • Hi Tonya, thanks for reaching out. I have modified the recipe to instruct that the parsley and lemon is for garnish. The lemon squeezed on top of the juicy pork really balances all the flavors. Enjoy and feel free to come back and leave your review!

  2. I’ve made this once with pasture raised pork chops from a local farm. It was fabulous. My pork chops were only about 1/2” thick so I didn’t cook as long on each side, only about 4 minutes per side. This is the only recipe I’ll be using for pork chops in the future. I didn’t even like pork chops until I made these. Came out tender and delicious.
