Description
This simple cabbage steak recipe is customizable by adding your favorite herbs and spices. Pairs perfectly with pork, beef and chicken.
Ingredients
1 medium cabbage
Olive oil or olive oil spray
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Optional: fresh chopped thyme, lemon and parmesan
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F
Slice the cabbage into 1/2 – 3/4 inch thick round slices and place them onto a non stick baking pan
Either spray or brush the olive oil on one side of the cabbage and season with garlic powder, salt, pepper and optional thyme
Then flip the cabbage steaks over and repeat coating with olive oil and spices
Roast the cabbage steaks for 25-28 minutes watching closely at the end for crispy edges and a very light golden color on top, remove from oven and serve
Optional: top with a squeeze of lemon and sprinkle of parmesan
