Pumpkin lattes, bread, cookies, carving and painting are the many ways we celebrate everything pumpkin during fall. Roasting pumpkin seeds brings back memories of childhood, separating the gooey pumpkin from the seeds just before carving our jacko lantern faces. There are hundreds of different ways to roast and season this perfect healthy snack, I’m sharing the most traditional way that results in a wonderful, lightly salted and crispy seed every time. What a beautiful time of year to enjoy the simple things in life. Wishing you a happy Fall, whether you celebrate with pumpkin everything, bonfires, smores, warm soup, squash, apple picking, haunted houses or jumping in leaves….
Stamp It Kids Art
Most of us already have everything at home to do this adorable fun art project. Actually, these stamps cost no money at all and that’s my kind of kid craft! Just save a bunch of paper towel and or toilet paper rolls to use as your stampers. Something we usually throw away can be an exciting fun project that kids of all ages will love. Maxwell, my toddler was the tester of these stamps and he had a blast. At the end of Maxwell’s educational craft of learning shapes and colors, I let him go and make a huge mess of art with the stampers and paint. This is over all a very successful and inexpensive craft everyone will love….
Hand Prints On The Glass
Watching our children press their little hands onto a freshly cleaned window usually has us feeling defeated. Thus, making us feel like the home will never be clean, so we might as well give up. I have given up worrying about my windows being clean. I have learned to stop looking at the hand prints as dirty smudges, but instead as if they are little memories that will fade and should be cherished….
DIY Chalkboard Wall
My baby has officially turned two and I have officially cried three times this week over how fast the time has gone by. This little boy has stolen my heart and is such a sweet, extremely shy, sensitive, loving, amazing, white boy dancer and joy to watch grow! I finally broke down and painted him a chalkboard wall that I’ve been contemplating over for two years. It is such a big commitment, I had many worries about using chalkboard paint and I could not find any relief when searching the internet. I must say the biggest mistake was not doing this sooner! Should of gone with my gut on this one. I have a few suggestions that may help you decide if a chalkboard wall is right for you. Maybe here, you can find the answers I was searching for the past two years and never found….
Thoughtful Mothers Day Gift
I wanted to create a craft that could bring tears to any mothers eyes in a happy sentimental way. Our moms loved getting our tiny hand prints as children, but to see them as adults holding our own children’s hands has to be one of the most beautiful moments that I can not wait to experience for myself. Your never guaranteed anything in life, just because I have children that does not mean I’ll have grand children, just because I want a daughter doesn’t mean I’ll have one. If either of those dreams happen I will be unbelievably grateful for them. If I ever have a daughter that makes this for me it will be the greatest gift she could ever give me!…
