- 8 slices of french round bread
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon plus more for dusting
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Real maple syrup
Instructions
- In a medium bowl mix eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt
- Add a small amount of the butter to pan and heat to medium
- Dip the bread slice in the egg mixture and add to heated pan
- While cooking sprinkle one side with extra cinnamon to desired taste before turning
- Cook each side for a couple minutes till a light golden brown
- Serve with fresh whipped butter and maple syrup
- Sprinkle of powdered sugar if desired
