Have you ever seen a plate with a turkey burger and baked fry’s look so good. Excuse me while I drool over this for a minute…
If I could describe the feeling I had while creating this burger I would compare it to the moment when the lights come on a police car and they are right behind you…you panic looking first to check your speed, your seat belt and back to the police car as it passes you by. The nervousness you first feel, the way your heart races and for a few seconds, you have no clue what emergency is occurring around you…While making this my heart raced, I was nervous and had no clue if things were going to turn out the way I wanted them to. Then that moment passed and I was eating this delicious, juicy and flavorful turkey burger. Hallelujah! I had that moment of relief, that each and every step in creating this was spot on.
You can use any burger buns you please, but for myself I go to Fresh Market (local grocery store) and buy their gigantic fresh onions rolls. If you have this store near you I highly recommend trying them. I’ve gotten so many friends hooked on these amazing rolls. The turkey perfectly seasoned, pieces of warm feta in each bite, topped with lettuce, crunchy red onion, drizzled with home made garlic aioli sauce all put together on a fresh onion roll . This burger is why I’m ok with having a beef allergy. Just don’t take my turkey or bacon away and I’ll be ok!
I love using my Breville Panini Press/Grill to help keep the burger juicy and cut down on the cooking time.
