Let’s break down this recipe and make it easy peasy lemon squeezy. Start by purchasing a one pound bag of baby carrots. You will notice that each bag of baby carrots varies a bit in size. Some are petite, some are a typical size and sometimes they are jumbo sized baby carrots. Below is the 1 2 3 method to break down cooking times for each size.
- Petite baby carrots cook on high pressure for 1 minute and quick release
- Regular sized baby carrots cook on high pressure for 2 minutes and quick release
- Jumbo sized baby carrots (larger then typical) cook on high pressure for 3 minutes and quick release

Instant Pot Carrots Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound baby carrots
1 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
Salt
Fresh chopped parsley to garnish, optional
Instructions
Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot
Add steamer basket with carrots to the instant pot
Pressure cook on high for 1, 2 or 3 minutes depending on the size of the baby carrots (1 minute petite baby carrots, 2 minutes regular baby carrots and 3 minutes for larger baby carrots)
Quick release and remove the steamer basket to drain the water
Add the carrots back to the instant pot and add butter and salt
Serve immediately and enjoy
