Mushroom Gravy


  • 2.5 tablespoons of butter
  • 10 ounces baby bella mushrooms sliced
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2.5 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock or beef stock (vegetarian friendly recipe by using vegetable stock)
  • 1/41/2 teaspoon of fresh chopped thyme


  1. In medium sauce pan heat butter over medium heat till it starts to bubble
  2. Stir in mushrooms and add pinch of salt
  3. Simmer mushrooms on medium low heat for about 10- 15 minutes or until liquid is evaporated
  4. Stir in the flour continuously stirring and cook for about 5 minutes
  5. Very slowly add in the stock while mixing thoroughly
  6. Add pinch of pepper and fresh thyme
  7. Simmer on low for 15 minutes
  8. Serve immediately
