I’ll start by saying THANK YOU to every single person who donated, shared this project and came to assemble the care packages. You are a part of something that is so much more than you know. I truly feel this project is bringing change to this world, raising awareness for families who may be in need during a crisis situation that is often overlooked. Maybe not even overlooked, but an area where we just didn’t know how to help. More than anything I want Project Mindful Mama to spread awareness that you too can help families and children who end up in the hospital. Often we think our presence is needed to be of help, in these situation our presence is not always appropriate at that very moment. No need to be there, just send that family a bag and what ever supplies you can afford from the list. Here are a few tips…

WE DID IT! 100 full care packages delivered, 50 bags to Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois and 50 bags to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The deliveries went smoothly and I personally ended this incredible journey similar to last years, by delivering the last fifty care packages to Central Dupage Hospital. This is the hospital where I gave birth to my first born son, the hospital where I lost my first born son, the hospital that helped my son Maxwell though his seizure diagnoses. Every visit to Central Dupage I get the most sinking feeling in my stomach when I pull up. I feel like this project is helping my broken heart because on the days of delivering the care packages I feel different. Not that sinking gut feeling ,but of calm and peace. I feel like Patryk is standing over my families shoulder during these moments, I just know it or at least I pray he is! How I wish he was here with us today, he would of loved packing all those bags with his brother Maxwell… This project is because of Patryk.
