Ingredients for making a Shirley Temple Drink

How to make a Shirley Temple Drink

When making this yummy drink for my children, I choose to break out the fancy glasses. Next, you will add your ice to the special glass. My children are obsessed with pebbled ice, but any ice will do. Pour over the ice 1 ounce of grenadine syrup. Next, add your favorite lemon-lime soda and top with as many Maraschino cherries as desired. Viola! You have made a special mocktail that your friends and family are sure to love.

History of a Shirley Temple

This infamous drink was created some time in the early nineteen hundreds. The rumors say, that this non-alcoholic drink was created for Shirley Temple (a famous child actress). The actress herself denies this claim and was not a fan of the drink. The mystery of where it originated has yet to be solved. Regardless, this refreshing beverage remains a childhood favorite drink!
