The cutest St Patrick’s day card that you can make with everything you probably already have in your home. I was ecstatic playing around with my sons Stamp It Kids Art rolls, if you take the heart and connect four together you’ll have a four leaf clover. Add in the cute saying (Lucky to have you), use a stencil for an elegant touch that makes this card look store bought. Of course you can write the message by hand, but if you own a stencil it can make the card look extra sharp. Make this adorable card for grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle, your little ones friends ect… This card is not only for kids, I think adults will love making these for friends as well.
I’ve been a bit overwhelmed lately to say the least, being a new mom again and having two babies sure is time consuming. Finding cute crafts for my toddler that are fun and don’t involve taking a trip to the store is perfect for us. So I put on my Baby K’Tan Wrap and secured Katia in for her nap. I ran to the kitchen to grab my empty paper towel roll, cut the roll in three so my toddler and I could stamp all the clovers our hearts desired. 😉
P.S. I had thick craft paper left over from other projects. You can buy it at your local craft store and usually for very cheap, I purchased mine when it was all 40% off. Just fold the thick craft paper to make your card or use regular white paper if you want.
- Empty paper towel or toilet paper roll
- Tape (optional)
- Thick white crafting paper or any paper of choice
- Green paint
- paper plate
- Paint brush
- Black and green markers
- stencil (optional)
- Cut empty paper towel roll or use a toilet paper roll
- Bend and shape heart on paper roll making a sharp point at the bottom of the heart to make your leaf
- At this point you can use tape around the roll to secure your shape a bit, but this is not necessary
- Fold craft paper or other paper
- Use stencil or write cute saying on front of card, Lucky To Have You
- Inside the card write who the card is to at the top... Happy St. Patrick's Day...Love You...and sign your name at the bottom
- Pour green paint onto a paper plate
- In circular motion spread out paint with your leaf (heart) stamper
- On the front of the card stamp four hearts all connecting at the bottom of the heart
- For the last heart squeeze the roll a bit to make sure it is the right fit between the two other leafs stamps
- Once you have your four leaf clover take your paint brush and paint a line for your stem
