The crunchy chili onion transforms this soup from great to WOW! In our home we pour the crunchy chili onion right into our individual bowls (verses the pot) to ensure everyone has the level of heat they desire.

Wonton Soup Variations
This healthy and flavorful wonton soup can be modified to what ever your heart desires. Below is an abundance of ideas to help create your perfect bowl.
- Veggies– bok choy, snow pes, sugar snap peas, cremini or shitake mushrooms, zucchini, garlic, ginger, spinach, shredded carrots or carrot spirals, edamame, napa cabbage, green onion.
- Broths– Trader Joe’s Ginger Miso broth (highly recommended), Chicken broth, vegetable broth.
- Proteins– cooked chicken, shrimp or pork.
- Other additions– TJ’s Chicken Cilantro wontons, noodles, Trader Joe’s pot stickers, Trader Joe’s crunchy chili onion (highly recommended), siracha sauce, soy sauce, a splash of sesame oil.

Chicken Cilantro Wonton Soup Recipe

We’re sharing our favorite way to make EASY Trader Joe’s Chicken Cilantro Wonton Soup!
Ingredients
2 containers of Trader Joe’s Miso Ginger Broth (may substitute for chicken broth)
1 Bag Trader Joe’s Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons
2 Tablespoons Olive oil
8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
6 ounces sugar snap peas
5 ounces shredded carrots
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
Chopped green onion
Trader Joe’s Crunchy Chili Onion
1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves, mincedÂ
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Heat a large stock pot with 2 tablespoons olive oil
Once the pan is nice and hot add the mushrooms to the pan and leave untouched for a couple minutes
After the mushroom have lightly browned on one side (about3-4 minutes) add sugar snap peas, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and garlic power or minced garlic and give everything a quick stir for about 1 minute
Add the 2 containers of miso ginger broth and bring to a boil
Add to the boiling pot the wontons, shredded carrots and cook for 2 minutes
Turn off the heat and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and the green onion
Adjust seasoning as needed
Pour or ladle soup into a bowl and top with desired amount of Trader Joe’s crunchy chili onion (suggestion: start with 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon per bowl and add more until desired heat level)

Yes! Preheat the air fryer to 370F and lightly brush or spray with olive oil. Cook the wontons for 6-8 minutes shaking or flipping half way through. You can always add more cooking time for your desired crispiness.
