How to make Crispy Hash Browns from frozen
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, Trader Joe’s Shredded potato Hash Browns have found their way into the hearts and stomachs of many. Here’s how to make them at home.
The trick is to use canola oil and cook in a large non stick frying pan. After the oil is heated through add your hash browns to the pan and lightly press down. Very important, do not touch the hash browns for about 8-10 minutes on medium high heat. While cooking add salt and pepper. Once you have achieved a deep golden color you may flip the hash browns over and cook for another 6-8 minutes on the other side.

3 Tablespoons canola oil
1 bag Trader Joe’s Shredded Potato Hash Browns
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Heat in a large non stick skillet or fry pan the 3 tablespoons of canola oil over medium to high heat
Add the shredded hash browns evenly to the skillet, gently press down and add salt and pepper
Leave hash browns untouched for 8-10 minutes- to check if the hash browns are ready gently lift with a spatula one side
Quarter or halve the hash browns with a large spatula to evenly flip
Once flipped cook the other side for another 6-8 minutes
