These incredibly juicy and delicious Bone in Pork Chops start off on the stove top. First, searing to a beautiful golden brown. Lastly, into the oven these bad boys go to finish cooking until desire internal temperature.
You’re going to fall in love with the sweetness paired with the garlic and herb flavors.

What internal temperature for Bone in Pork Chops
You might find an abundance of suggestions on proper internal pork temperature while searching the internet. Preferably, while cooking pork I find that the best internal temperature to stop cooking at is 145F. Followed by allowing the pork chops to rest, tented with foil. The foil is not necessary, but allowing the pork chops to rest is a must. Make sure to have a digital meat thermometer handy.

salt and pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh chopped parsley
Lemon slices

Remove pork from the skillet and place aside cover with foil to keep warm
Lower the pan to medium/low heat and add the butter to melt
Once butter is melted add garlic, brown sugar, Italian seasoning and cook for 30 second to 1 minute, stirring constantly not to burn the sugar or garlic

Allow pork chops to rest at room temperature untouched for at least 10 minutes prior to serving

I am making this tonight, but have a question. The ingredients call for lemon slices and parsley, are those just for garnish, because your directions don’t mention them at all?
Thank you! ♡
Hi Tonya, thanks for reaching out. I have modified the recipe to instruct that the parsley and lemon is for garnish. The lemon squeezed on top of the juicy pork really balances all the flavors. Enjoy and feel free to come back and leave your review!
I’ve made this once with pasture raised pork chops from a local farm. It was fabulous. My pork chops were only about 1/2” thick so I didn’t cook as long on each side, only about 4 minutes per side. This is the only recipe I’ll be using for pork chops in the future. I didn’t even like pork chops until I made these. Came out tender and delicious.
